Embedded World 2010

On Tuesday, March 2nd 2010, the IEEE Student Branch Linz arranged a trip to the Embedded World Exhibition and Conference in Nürnberg, Germany. We took our chances and spent one day at the world's biggest event of its kind and meeting-place of the international embedded community.

Unlike most exhibitions these days, the Embedded World expands each year, currently reaching a full number of 730 exhibitors and 18.350 visitors in 2010 - thus indicating the still growing importance of embedded systems in a wide range of applications and technologies.

We could catch up on the latest related developments in hardware, software, tools and services. Current product trends include model based design, lowest power wireless networks and designs based on the Cortex M3 microcontroller core.

In this competent and friendly ambience, we could gather much information and get our questions answered, until we had to start back home in the evening due to the exhibition closing. We arrived back home with some gain in experience and glad that we could attend this outstanding event.
