On the 8th of November a delegation of the SB Linz was invited to visit Germany's third IEEE Conference. The conference offered the chance to present scientific research conducted at the university.

The keynote speech was held by Cipsoft, a German software engineering company specializing in online role play games. The topic was 'Security in a MMO gaming environment including web interfaces'.

The main conference topics ranged from mathematics to software engineering, including topics like machine creativity using data based models. After the presentations, all participants took part in a guided night tour through Passau and afterwards went to the restaurant "Bayrischer Löwe". The trip to Passau was a great opportunity to meet old acquaintances and to get to know people from the other student branches.

You may ask - German Student Branch Congress - why were the guys from Linz part of this? That's because the SB Passau and the SB Linz are now members of the Twin-Student-Program. Like twin cities, this program helps to exchange knowledge, get in touch with new people and participate in mutual activities - apart from the University.
